IMG Scholarship Program

Advancing medical careers in the United States.

The purpose of the Whitetulip Health Foundation IMG Scholarship Program is to provide financial support for those in the healthcare and medical profession — enabling them to attend and continue medical training, conduct research in various medical topics, complete a specific objective in the medical field, or enhance personal capability and skills in their career.

This scholarship is open to international medical graduates, current medical students, and healthcare professionals who have applied to or entered a medical education or training program in the United States.

Once distributed, support from this program enables recipients to attend and continue medical training, conduct research, complete a specific medical objective, or enhance personal capability and skills in the medical field.

  • The form is available only during the active application periods. Applications with missing documents will not be considered.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy all of the following requirements to qualify for the IMG Scholarship Program.

  • A graduate from a medical school or school of other healthcare professions, currently admitted by a medical school, hospital, or institute/center for further medical education, research, and/or training.
  • A current student of a medical school or school of other healthcare professions.
  • Has applied to or entered a medical school, hospital, institution, or center for further medical education, training, and/or research on a full-time or part-time basis.
  • International graduates pursuing further medical education in the US must have passed at least one of: TOEFL, USMLE, or an equivalency exam of their profession.
  • The applicant must not be a relative or employee of a WHF Board member or a member of the Selection Committee.

How to Apply

  • Applications open in January and July each year. Confirm the current period is active before applying.
  • Fill in all required fields of the WHF IMG Scholarship Application Form.
  • Collect all 8 required documents including your transcript, diploma, and exam scores.
  • Upload all documents and submit. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The form is available during the application periods in January and July only. Complete all fields and upload the required documents, then submit your application.

Completed applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee in February and August, and results are announced to applicants by email.
