IDG Scholarship Program

Advancing dental careers in the United States.

The purpose of the WHF International Dental Graduates (IDG) Scholarship Program is to provide financial support for those in the dental profession to enable them to continue their dental career in the US, integrate within the US dental system, and utilize their invaluable professional skills and experiences.

This scholarship enables IDGs to attend and continue dental training, conduct research in various dental topics, complete a specific objective in the dental field, and enhance personal capability or skills in their dental career.

The scholarship duration may be up to 12 months, with the total amount determined by the Scholarship Selection Committee based on the applicant's need and request.

Eligibility Criteria

All requirements below must be met on the date of application to qualify for the IDG Scholarship Program.

  • Must be an active member of the Whitetulip Health Foundation.
  • Must currently reside in the United States and hold a valid legal immigration status.
  • Must hold a degree from an international dental school.
  • Must not be a relative or employee of a member of the WHF Board or the Scholarship Selection Committee.
  • Must have passed the Integrated National Board Dental Exam (INBDE) or NBDE Part I & II, and the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 70 or above.

How to Apply

  • Applications open in January and May each year. Confirm the current period is active before applying.
  • Fill in all required fields of the WHF IDG Scholarship Application Form available below.
  • Collect all 9 required documents including your diploma, transcript, exam scores, and commitment letter.
  • Upload all documents and submit. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The form is available during the application periods in January and May only. Complete all fields and upload the required documents, then submit your application.

Completed applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Selection Committee in February and June, and results are announced by email.
