Social Media Intern
Overview
Whitetulip Health Foundation is seeking a creative and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Social Media Intern. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management, digital content creation, and online engagement within a healthcare-focused nonprofit organization. The selected candidate will work with our social media manager and will assist with the production of content and design, while also learning and managing various digital tools.
This internship will be offered during the Fall (September-December), Spring (January-May) semesters, and during the summer (May-August). Dates can be flexible depending on the student's school schedule. This is a hybrid position and your time in Whitetulip's office will be determined by assignment and need.
Interns will be responsible for the following
- Conducting content research to identify relevant and engaging topics.
- Assisting with social media content production and management, as well as assisting with social media posting calendar.
- Designing graphics for social media posts using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Contributing to the creation of newsletters to update stakeholders on foundation activities.
- Editing short videos and event videos as needed, ensuring high-quality production and alignment with organizational messaging.
Intern candidates must demonstrate competencies in the following areas
- Graphic Design: Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Writing and Editing: Strong writing and editing skills, excellent grasp of English grammar, ability to analyze and synthesize written materials and meet multiple deadlines.
- Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Social Media Platforms: Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and understanding best practices.
- Video Editing: Skills in video editing software to create compelling video content.
- Communication and Teamwork: Good communication, teamwork, listening, and research skills.
- Professional Feedback: Ability to respond professionally to critical feedback and proactively seek support and help when needed.

- Qualified applicants who are students at our partner universities may earn up to 3 credits after completing 120 hours. (For more information, please refer to your college advisor.)
