The purpose of the Whitetulip Health Foundation (WHF) Newcomers Financial Support Program is to provide financial support for recently immigrated healthcare professionals.
When one comes to a new country, everything is new, new culture, new life, and new language. Many such immigrants have a very difficult time and suffer from financial issues among many others. Typically, such medical professionals postpone their integration into the healthcare system and work at unrelated jobs to be able to survive; some completely give up on their profession. As time passes, it becomes more difficult to get into the medical profession due to the gap without practicing medical profession even the necessary exams passed. Therefore, it is very important for such medical professionals to complete their necessary exams and credentialing and integrate into the US health system as soon as possible from their date of entry to the USA.
WHF board of directors approved to prepare a financial assistance program for newly immigrated healthcare professionals when they need it the most so that they can get into the medical system without any delay.
The scholarship will be up to 6-months for a maximum amount of $6,000 for a single and $7,500 for a married applicant who is in the US with their family. Among this amount, $1,500 must be spent directly for the medical credentialing process such as application fee, exam fee, courses, and studying materials. Having this financial support program will not prevent the receiver from applying to other scholarship programs of Whitetulip Health Foundation (WHF) in the future.
