Pre-Med Students Mentorship Department
About Mentorship program:
Premed Mentorship program is a program for first- or second-generation immigrant college students or graduates who are considering healthcare careers for the future.
The aim of the department is to provide a supportive network where the individual students will have access to one-to-one mentorship and many other support as below in their journey. This mentorship can start as early as the first month of the freshman year and can continue until you get accepted to medical school.
Some of the advantages of the mentorship includes:
- One-to-one mentorship from US medical students or practicing physicians
- Personal tailored career plan
- Assistance in medical school application (Primary and Secondary application, Personal statement review, Mock Interviews and so on)
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Being enrolled into US based college or graduate program or working in medical field in the US during your gap year
- Being a first- or second-generation immigrant
- Must be in the US and hold legal status
POLICY
First of all, all our mentors participate in this program on a voluntary base therefore their time is valuable and we appreciate their continued support to this program. Therefore, we ask all our mentees to respect the time of the mentors and be proactive in their responses during this program.
Once mentor fills out the form above, we will reach out for the next steps that will involve providing further information about your current status in premed journey. Once the information is obtained, we will arrange your introduction meeting with your one-to-one assign mentor.
The expectation is to meet or get in contact with your mentor monthly to monitor your progress.
